April 16th to 18th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Beavers were seen every day.

Common Mergansers were seen as well.

One of the resident Bald Eagles was watching over its domain.

There was a Canada Goose watching over its mate on their nest.

Pied-billed Grebes were seen.

Great Blue Herons were seen in several spots.

A female Rufous Hummingbird was seen along the way.

Ruby-crowned Kinglets popped in and out of shrubs, showing their crowns as the flitted to and fro.

Ring-necked Ducks were a surprise.

Several Savannah Sparrows were singing to mark their territories.

Song Sparrows were seen in many areas.

A Golden-crowned Sparrow was seen.

White-crowned Sparrows were seen as well.

Tree Swallows were seen in many locations.

Spotted Towhees were singing on branches.

Wood Ducks were seen in many spots. One large group looked excited, making a lot of noise. Bruce noticed a Bobcat walking along a log away from them.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Randy with Chesney, Lynn, Maryanne with Lula, Tina with Disney and "Pork 'N' Beans", Leona and Werner, Lisa, Devon with Zuma and Penny during our walks.
