April 2022

April 30, 2022

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A few female Common Mergansers are waiting in the slough.

American Goldfinches were seen along the way.

A Canada Goose was seen.

Seeing Ring-necked Ducks here at this time of year seems unusual.

American Robins were seen along the way.

Thimbleberries are starting to bloom.

Several Yellow-rumped Warblers were seen.

We were happy to have Wood Ducks come very close while we watched them from the cover of the East Bird Blind.

Weather
April 30 Cloudy 49F (09C) Afternoon 62F (17C)

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Beverly and Craig with Mogli and Sampson during our walk.
