August 2022

August 13th & 14th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Beavers were gathering Water Lily leaves and enjoying Hard Hack leaves. After all the work and eating there had to be grooming before bed.

Young Pied-billed Grebes were seen.

A juvenile Green Heron was seen on a log from the Main Bridge and an adult Green Heron was seen in the distance at the South Lagoon.

A Great Blue Heron was seen from the trail near the Heronry.

A few Cottontail Rabbits were seen along the trail.

American Robins were seen in a few areas.

Wood Ducks were seen in many locations.
