December 7th to 14th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A Beaver floated past one morning.

Female Buffleheads were seen in many spots.

Black-capped Chickadees were seen every day.

Common Mergansers were seen along the way.

A Double-crested Cormorant landed on the North Lagoon during one of our walks.

One of the resident Bald Eagles was seen.

Fox Sparrows were seen at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

Common Goldeneyes were seen on the North Lagoon.

Great Blue Herons were regularly seen.

Mallards were seen in many areas. The lighter one is most likely a hybrid female.

Greater and Lesser Scaup were seen in a few areas. A female Bufflehead joined the flock one morning.

Trumpeter Swans and Canada Geese were seen.

White-throated Sparrows were at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders every day.

Wood Ducks were seen in a few areas.

American Wigeon were seen in may locations.
