January 2023

January 18th to 21st 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We enjoyed seeing a Beaver during one of our walks.

Common Mergansers were still seen in good numbers.

A flock of Canada Geese landed in the farm field across from the Heronry with one leucistic Canada Goose accompanying them.

Several Gulls were also in the farm field.

Great Blue Herons were seen fishing along the slough’s shoreline.

The snow-capped mountains were sunlit.

Ring-necked Ducks paddled along in the slough.

Wood Ducks are usually seen in the slough.

There are good numbers of Trumpeter Swans seen at the South Lagoon in the mornings.
