We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Common Mergansers kept each other company while they fished.
Hooded Mergansers were seen from the East Bird Blind.
American Wigeon were seen as usual.
Ring-necked Ducks were seen in many locations.
A few Double-crested Cormorants were seen.
A female Bufflehead paddled past.
Greater Scaup were seen in good numbers.
Several Green-winged Teal were seen in many locations.
Pied-billed Grebes were seen near the Salwein Creek bridge.
Great Blue Herons were seen in a few spots.
The Sharp-shinned Hawk is continuing its vigil at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.
Song Sparrows were seen singing.
Spotted Towhees and White-throated Sparrows took a chance at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders while the hawk was away.
Red-winged Blackbirds were seen in a few areas.
Peter told us where there were two Western Screech Owls. They were seen for a couple of days, went away and returned for another day.
