February 20th to 25th 2024

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A few Bufflehead were seen.

One of the resident Bald Eagles was seen along the way.

The Great Blue Herons have started nesting.

Dark-eyed Juncos are usually seen at this time of year.

A sweet little Lincoln’s Sparrow put in an appearance.

A River Otter was seen in the slough.

Ring-necked Ducks were seen.

Scaups were seen in a few areas.

American Robins were seen in large numbers.

Spotted Towhees were seen.

White-crowned Sparrows and Golden-crowned Sparrows were around.

White-throated Sparrows are still at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

Wood Ducks are usually seen.

It was nice to see Terry with Bogey, Charlie with Jack, Beverly with Sampson, John with Lexi, Leo and Bruno, Christa, Steve with Chimo and Rosie, Sarah with Claire, Casia and Kitch with Nyx, Ian, Ron, Melinda and Rob with Bosley, John with Lexi, Leo and Bruno, Jody with Jasper and Wilma, Lynn, Ruth, Maryanne with Lula, Tina with Disney, Pork 'N' Beans and Gus, Antony during our walks.
