March 15th to 20th 2024

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A Northern Flicker posed on a post.

A Double-crested Cormorant paddled along.

Golden-crowned Sparrows were at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

A few Greater Scaup and Lesser Scaup were seen.

Ring-necked Ducks were seen.

The Heronry and Great Blue Herons were active. A resident Bald Eagle entered the Heronry and sent the Great Blue Herons flying while they emitted a loud roar.

Dark-eyed Juncos were seen.

A Lincoln’s Sparrow was also seen.

American Robins were seen in many spots.

Song Sparrows were singing.

Spotted Towhees were singing.

White-crowned Sparrows were seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

White-throated Sparrows were seen at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

Wood Ducks were seen in many areas.

It was nice to see Terry with Bogey and Chase, Penny and Loraine, Ruth, Christa, Maryanne with Lula, Tina with Disney, Gus and Pork N Beans, David, Lisa, Melinda and Rob with Bosley, Charlie with Jack, Lora, Jenny and Bill, Penny and Dave, Carol with Lincoln and Winston, Bonnie, Bob, Ron with Ginni, Tania with Abbey during our walks.
