July 20, 2014

As usual, we found something to point our cameras at during our walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve today.

Downy Woodpeckers were seen.

Willow Flycatchers were also seen.

The Canada Goose family has grown a lot.

Great Blue Herons were seen in a few areas. One was most entertaining, with its preening and rousing.

The dike road walk past the Heronry to the Osprey nest is lovely covered in wildflowers.

The Ospreys were busy with their two chicks. The older Osprey nest near the Vedder River has three chicks in it.

Robins were seen enjoying ripe berries.

Savannah Sparrows were seen while we were walking to the Osprey nest.

Juvenile Cedar Waxwings were seen in the same area.

White-crowned Sparrows were seen along the way.

Wood Ducks were seen at the far end of the dike road.

A very wet Yellow Warbler was seen near the main bridge.

Common Yellowthroats were seen at the far end of the dike road.
