September 13th to 16th 2021

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Beavers enjoy the light before sunset and sunrise.

Black-throated Gray Warblers were seen in little groups.

American Coots, Green-winged Teal and Wood Ducks were seen along the way.

Canada Geese were seen in the slough near the Heronry.

Pied-billed Grebes are usually around at this time of year.

A Steller’s Jay hopped onto a snag with a Hazelnut in its beak.

An Anna’s Hummingbird was seen along the trail.

Belted Kingfishers were seen fishing along the slough.

Lincoln’s Sparrows were seen in good numbers.

Immature White-crowned Sparrows were seen along the way.

Yellow-rumped Warblers were seen in a few areas.
